Covid-19 India Live News: On Monday, cities throughout the country began administering the Covid immunization to youngsters aged 15 to 18. Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin will be given to eligible children in two doses, 28 days apart, according to the Union Health Ministry.
Covaxin dosages are available at 40 locations in Pune, while 159 government-run centers for the age range have been established in Delhi. In Mumbai, nine gigantic centers will administer vaccinations to children (Richardson and Crudas at Byculla, NESCO jumbo center, NSCI at Worli, BKC jumbo center and jumbo centers at Kanjurmarg, Malad, Mulund and Dahisar).
Meanwhile, India recorded 33,750 new Covid-19 cases and 123 deaths on Monday. The country’s active caseload remained at 1,45,582 with 10,846 recoveries.
According to the Union Ministry of Health, the country’s Omicron tally has risen to 1,700, with 639 of them having recovered or been discharged. With 510 Omicron cases, Maharashtra came out on top, followed by Delhi with 351 cases.
